My husband thinks I have an addiction and he is probably right. I am addicted to crafting. I love to learn new crafts and there are just not enough hours in the day to do all the projects that I want to do. That of course leads to many many projects sitting waiting patiently to be completed. I keep telling myself that in a few more years I will have more time - when all of my children are in school. I can dream. Now of course there is also my addiction to fabric. I love the feel and look of it. My husband tells me I need to get rid of some of it and I tell him that I need a bigger closet to store it all in. In my dream world our next house will have a room that is strictly mine. A room with a huge walk in closet to store all of the wonderful fabrics and other craft supplies that I have and inevitably will accumulate. Ahhhh.... a woman can dream! But with 4 kids me actually getting that space may remain a dream. In the meantime I am working on stealing a space in my current house.
So, my husband used to be able to work from home almost everyday and I loved it. In the last 6 months or so his boss has decided that everyone needs to be in the office. BooHooo.... however that has left our basement guest room/ office being used very rarely. So... a couple of months ago I decided that I was going to take over the space. My previous crafting space was in our laundry room and lets just say it was not ideal. 6 people worth of laundry adds up and crawling through the never ending piles of laundry to get to my crafting area was not that appealing or inspiring. The problem is that I have this tendency to start a project and then get overwhelmed and just stop. Lets just say that organizing is an area I could use some help and improvement.
Back on track. A couple of months ago I started to switch things around in the basement and then just stopped. This has also led to a virtual stop in my crafting as I have not wanted to enter the abyss that was once a guest room/ office. So, this week I decided it was time to get back on track to creating the best crafting area that I can in the space that I have. The problem - we have had horrible weather here - which has led to my husband being allowed to work from home the last 2 days - YAY!! - and which has also led to me not being able to be in the office to clean it out - Boohooo... So, that project will have to wait for warmer days - tomorrow or the next we will get it started.
In the mean time I decided that I wanted to start a blog that is all about crafting. I want to post things I make and things I find that I want to make. I want to ramble on about my love of all things crafting and anything that contributes to my love of crafting and thus this blog is born!!!!
This blog is primarily for me, but I hope that any who happen to stumble across it can find some inspiration or enjoyment in my posts!
Happy Crafting!!!
